Cezar-Alexandru

My name is Cezar. During the school year, I live in a dormitory in Cluj-Napoca, Romania with three of my university colleagues. When I am not at university, I live with my mother and father in Dej. My childhood was beautiful until I started facing bullying issues at school. I was a shy kid with different passions than my classmates. With these challenges, I became more withdrawn. However, I found myself in things like art, music, and some sports. I also grew up very close with my cousins and participated in church activities with them. This kept me close to God even in the difficult times.

My parents took me to church from a young age, and I attended a few Christian camps; however, my faith journey was deeply impacted in high school I began opening up to more teenagers my age and started doing mission work with a Christian association in Dej. That is where I first came into contact with Young Life. It was there that God gave me supportive friends, and I realized that Jesus loves every part of me. I became a volunteer leader and am now a part of Young Life University. I try to connect with students who need a friend and someone to understand and love them. I am also still involved with Young Life and the teenagers in Dej.

As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying Engineering and Computer Science at the Technical University of Cluj-Napoca-Faculty of Automation and Computer Science in Cluj-Napoca, Romania. I want to work as a software engineer after I graduate. I hope to continue being a volunteer leader with Young Life University to help students find Jesus.
