My name has been changed for security reasons. I grew up with my sister, who is eight years older, and my parents in a small town, but now I have moved to a big city to get an education. This was one of the key challenges of my life, because I had to learn to live independently.  

Since I was a little girl, I went to church with my grandmother, but I never understood why I did it and always believed that God was only in church. My older sister came to Young Life when she moved to a big city to study, where she met Jesus and prayed for me for a long time that I would meet Him. Later, I also came to Young Life camp, where I was surrounded by sincere, nice people who spoke of God as their reliable support. My relationship with God began there, and I became bolder with Him, because I know that He is the only one I can rely on. I’m currently serving on a local team, and my biggest desire is to help as many young people as possible come to know Jesus personally. 

Everyone in my family is creative, and since childhood, I’ve loved drawing and building things from paper and cardboard. That passion led me to study Design of the Subject-Spatial Environment at my local university as part of the DGL program. I hope this education will open doors to a meaningful and prestigious job in design. I want to be able to help Young Life ministry with my talent and finances. Right now, I want to grow as a person, learn how to connect better with people, and show kids — through my life and relationships — what it means to live with Jesus.
