My name is Davyd. I come from city a called Cherkasy. My dad is a pastor, so I've been involved in church and had faith in Christ since I was a kid. As a teenager, I realized that faith is not just a tradition, but a living relationship with God. After graduating high school, I spent time reflecting on my past, feeling both sorrow and joy, which led me to fully embrace my faith and commit to living for Christ. At the same time, the war in Ukraine has been one of the hardest experiences I’ve faced, bringing fear, anger, and a deeper appreciation for life and loved ones.
Our church joined Young Life ministry to reach more teens and help them know Christ. Being part of this mission has been life-changing. Although I was usually shy, I stepped out of my comfort zone and began a journey toward greater confidence and openness, guided by my mentor and Young Life friends. I lead a small group for teenagers, combining my passion of woodworking with Bible study. Many of these young men have fathers serving in the military and few chances to learn hands-on skills, so I want to be someone who teaches them things that are useful for life and shows them Jesus.
As a Developing Global Leader I am pursuing a degree in Applied Physics and Nanomaterials. I believe that God is the greatest scientist, and His creation is worth exploring. Studying the structure and laws of the universe through physics allows me to better understand the incredible design behind it. I’m also interested in the development of computer technologies and modern inventions, which I see as a promising field both for personal growth and as a way to support my future family.
