My name is Josue and I grew up with my siblings and parents in Matagalpa, Nicaragua. I was born into a Christian family where we went to church every Sunday and I learned about Jesus, however I have always had problems with my patience which generated many arguments in my house. With time, I learned to be more patient, especially after my younger sister was born; she always looked up to me and I wanted to be a good example for her. However, the unfortunate death of my sister affected my life significantly. I have learned through the grief to accept God's plans, and I want to be a better person for her, for my family, for me and for God above all.

From a young age my parents have taught me about God and encouraged me to grow in my faith. However, my relationship with Jesus was strengthened by the hand of Young Life and now my relationship is stronger than ever. I hope to never stop learning and growing in my faith. A catalyst that has pushed me to grow is knowing that there are people watching me and believing in me, especially one of my brothers who is always supporting me and telling me that I am capable when I grow unsure.

Now, a Developing Global Leader, I am studying English and education at National Autonomous University of Nicaragua. I hope to serve students as an English teacher and be a support to them. I want to achieve great things and honor God wherever I am. Despite my human deficiencies, I hope that my leadership can push many people to Jesus as I pursue teenagers in my community.
