My name is Biraj, and I live with my family and aunty in a country in South Asia. Growing up, I knew our Christian faith was incredibly important to my family. It was the cornerstone on which we built our lives and was the source of our strength. As long as I can recall, it was necessary for our family to move often so our father could make the personal and professional impact he wished to make. Moving from one unfamiliar area to the next proved challenging for me. This frequent uprooting made building typical childhood friendships difficult. While our nomadic lifestyle has been atypical, it has certainly been meaningful to my family.
Throughout my life, I have been grateful to have heard the name of Jesus and to know Him deeper each day. I have prayed for miracles and witnessed the Lord heal those we brought before Him. I thank God that He gives me examples of His power and love to increase my faith and help those around me. He reminds us that He fights for freedom for all the world's people. As a worship leader at church and a Young Life leader in my community, I am eager to point others to the power and love of God.
As a Developing Global Leader, I am attending a local university and will be the first college graduate in my family. I am working towards earning a degree in engineering and computer science and I intend to become a computer programmer. This degree will open doors to many ministry opportunities and provide the financial means necessary to care for my family.
