Growing up in Córdoba, Spain, Jaime grew up in a deeply rooted Christian family where faith has always been at the heart of their lives. "As the second of three children, my family has faced challenges that have shaped our journey together. My oldest brother was born with a disability requiring a wheelchair for mobility. When I was nine, my younger brother was born, and he, too, was diagnosed with a medical condition, adding to the challenges we faced.”

"Then when I was five, my mother noticed something wrong with my left ear. After several medical consultations, I was diagnosed with cholesteatoma, a condition that resulted in the loss of about 90% of the hearing in my left ear. This led to numerous surgeries throughout my childhood, requiring me to adapt to a new normal. While this was a difficult experience, it also taught me resilience and the importance of relying on God’s strength to navigate the challenges in life. My hearing loss has become a part of who I am, and it has played a significant role in shaping my character and faith.”

As a Developing Global Leader, Jaime is studying theology and Christian ministry. “Growing up in a Christian family, I learned about Jesus and the Bible from an early age, but it wasn’t until summer camp, that I truly understood the power of the gospel and the depth of Jesus’ love for me. This experience was transformative, and the following year, I felt God calling me to dedicate my life to Him. I realized that I was meant to serve in ministry, and since then, I have been committed to preparing myself for this calling.”
