Luda, a warm and sociable young woman, spent her childhood in a very small Russian town with her parents and sibling. She now lives in a large city and attends the “university of her dreams” after years of hard-work and dedication to work towards this goal. Luda shares that she was a “good girl” all her life and did not initially understand her need for God when she heard the dramatic testimonies of others who lived a rebellious lifestyle.
However, going to church with a classmate and meeting the Lord was a turning point in her life. Out of curiosity and a search for wisdom, Luda went to church to listen to God’s Word. She then began reading it at home by herself. During that time, she came to understand her great need for a Savior and found God’s purpose for her life as she grew closer to Him. A good friend invited her to a Young Life club. At the time, she had been desperately searching for a ministry to be a part of; the Lord heard her prayers, and she joined the Young Life team and is now a team leader for Young Life College.
As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, she is studying languages at the university. She speaks English, Chinese and Spanish and is a very communicative, outgoing person. Luda enjoys talking with people from all over the world and plans to go on missions to different countries to share about the love of Christ after she graduates. Luda is eager to use her natural gifting and eventually pursue work as an interpreter and translator.
