Yannick

My name is Yannick and I grew up in a small town of Ottignes, Belgium where our home was always warm and lively, filled with the sounds of laughter and sibling rivalry. As a child, I looked up to my older brother and loved playing soccer with him, following his lead in everything he did.

My relationship with Jesus began around the time I started to attend church as a kid, even though I couldn’t fully understand who God was. The first time I truly encountered Jesus knowingly was when I was twelve years old at a youth camp organized by a group of Protestant churches in my area. The leaders there showed a genuine love for others and the intense emotions I felt during worship sessions deeply moved me. It took time for my relationship with Jesus to develop, but by the time I was sixteen, after facing some personal challenges, I made the decision to fully follow God's call in my life. That was the moment I consider myself truly born again.

As a Developing Global Leader, I am pursuing a degree in psychological and educational sciences. Looking ahead, my deepest desire is to serve God, no matter the manner, place, or position. Whether as a psychologist, at Young Life, or as an artist, I am committed to following wherever God leads me. I am convinced that my own plans and vision for the future are small compared to what God has in store for me, and I trust Him completely to guide my path.
