Rezart

Rezart spent most of his childhood living alone with his mother, leaning on the goodwill of others after his father left for another country and they had to learn to provide for themselves without his support.

He remembers church as merely a fun place to pass the time when he was young. But when he experienced health issues at the age of thirteen, he experienced the love of a Christian community. He was diagnosed with a large kidney stone and admitted to the hospital for nearly three weeks. He shares, "During that time, I felt the care and support of God through the prayers and love of my church community, including our Korean pastors. This support was particularly meaningful as my father was not present during this time.” After that experience, his relationship with Jesus has been a gradual process that has deepened over time. Today, he is very invested in his church and Young Life and passionate about raising up new leaders in order to reach more kids with the Gospel.

As a Developing Global Leader, Rezart is pursuing a sociology degree. “I trust that God will continue to provide for my education through the support of the people He has placed in my life. I am committed to using the knowledge I gain to help others, teaching what I learn to those around me.” Rezart will be the first in his family to graduate from university.
