Mats Adrian

Hi I'm Mats and I live in Oslo, Norway with three of my closest friends. My upbringing was shaped by having a Christian family. Although I spent part of my childhood in Western Norway with my parents and three siblings, a significant portion was lived in Nairobi, Kenya, where my parents served as missionaries. Growing up in various places had its challenges, such as frequently having to say goodbye to friends I wouldn't see for years.

I believe that my diverse experiences, the incredible people I have met and the way these experiences have influenced my faith are integral for who I am today. During an extended mission trip two years ago, I truly grasped that salvation isn't something we can achieve through our own efforts; it is God's mission, accomplished solely through Jesus Christ. Since then, I have been on a continual journey of discovering the depths of God's love and the profound significance of what Jesus has done for me. My involvement with Young Life has given me a new way to live out my faith. It is no longer about trying to be a hero for God, but rather a response to His love, reflecting that love to others.

As a Developing Global Leader, I am pursuing a degree in theology and mission. I am excited about the possibility of using my education to serve others. My goals are to grow in faith and character, excel in my studies, and build genuine relationships with the teenagers in our community. I want to support them, care for them, and show them God's love in a way that reflects the journey I've been on myself.
