My name is Diana and I live in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Chiapas with my mother and sister. I have lived with my mom since I was four years old. I still have contact with my dad, and we are working on our relationship. I grew up in a Christian family, however when I was a teenager, I felt a void and realized I wanted to feel loved by someone.
God started to appear in areas of my life when I was fourteen years old, including making new friends that knew him, changes in my church, changes in my dad, and even changes in my household. God started to let me know that I was truly loved by him and that I did not need to make people love me. Jesus made himself known to me at Young Life outreach camp. I felt loved in a new way which spurred on many changes in my life. God is continuing to teach me about his love and showing me how to better love those around me.
Now, through the Developing Global Leaders program, I am studying languages, especially English, at Autonomous University of Chiapas. I have been praying about my career for a long time, and God showed me the opportunity to use English as a tool for the ministry. I want to continue growing in my faith and knowledge at the same time as I continue serving God, helping people to know him in the best way and not by prejudices. I want to help people so they can feel the love of God.
