My name is Kristina, and I come from a small town in western Ukraine. There are three children in my family, and our childhood was difficult because of my father's drinking. Because of it, from time to time, my mother, brothers, and I had to live with my grandparents, who went to church and told us about God. When I was ten, my dad died, and it hit me hard; for a long time I could not recover from this loss. My mom was forced to work hard to provide for her three children.

When I was a teenager, I went to Young Life camp, and although I had already heard about God from my grandmother, I learned a lot more about Jesus, he revealed Himself to me in a different way. I really fell in love with Jesus and chose to build my life with him. I immediately joined the team and started serving. When I went to study in another city, I joined the local team there and served Young Life in two cities. Now, my main role in our team is as a leader. I have a lot of responsibilities, but the most important thing is that I can be friends with young girls and show them the real Christ.

I've always liked to use my imagination and do something creative, so I had no doubt when I decided to go to college to study architecture. I believe that my education will give me the opportunity to find great pleasure in my work. I want to bring interesting projects to life, always be developing in this field, study new programs, new types of architecture, and have good financial security. New skills and opportunities will allow me to be successful professionally and develop the local community while serving young people.
