My name is Juliana and I was born in a small city in Central Asia. My name has been changed for security reasons. My family is Christian, so I grew up with these values since childhood. My mom is a church pastor. When I was 4 years old, my dad started using different drugs and drinking, and things in the family got much worse. Because of my father's addiction and the violence in the family, we moved to a big city to live with my grandmother, cutting off all ties with him.
Thanks to my mother, I have been actively involved in church and ministry since childhood, and her life and faith have always been an example to me. However, I personally met Jesus in my teens. It was at a Christian conference, and I realized His personal involvement in my life, which motivates me to serve Him actively to this day. A few years later, a friend of mine invited me to one of Young Life's summer events. I fell in love with this mission and joined several areas of this ministry at once. Serving in the Capernaum team has become an inspiration for me to grow spiritually and develop as a person. I have been working on the development of Young Life in a neighboring small town, where there is already an active team for high school kids, and we hope to open a Capernaum club there soon.
I enjoy strategizing, planning tasks, and coordinating team efforts to achieve common goals. As a DGL program participant, I study business and economics with a focus on management at a local university. I hope to apply the skills I learned at the university to my ministry and contribute to the development of our country.
