Ridam
My name is Ridam, and I live with my parents in a town in South Asia where my father serves as a pastor. From a young age, I witnessed my parents serving the Lord and heard stories about God. My journey through childhood was unlike others, as I was often sick and I constantly faced rejection from my peers, who looked down on me because of my skinny physique. Continual rejection led to a significant drop in my self-esteem, and people began to label me as an introvert. This experience affected my walk with God. My desire to excel in class kept me going, leading me to focus on academics while distancing myself from God.
My journey of faith took a turn when a friend introduced Jesus into my life in a new way, helping me understand who I am in the eyes of God. It was also the first time outside of family that I saw someone who completely lived for Christ and put the Gospel into action. Upon hearing his testimony, I purposed to build my faith in God and spread the love of God with others.
Now as a Developing Global Leader, I am studying computer science and acquiring practical skills in computer software that will enable me to work in the field of my interest, the information technology sector. Regarding leadership opportunities, I am committed to continually learning and growing in my abilities. My greatest desire is to represent Christ throughout my life and carry the message of hope and life that is in the Gospel to unreached people so that they come to the knowledge of the truth.
