Frank

My name is Frank, and I live with my parents and brothers. As child, I grew up in a rough area in Rivers State, Nigeria, where cultism, prostitution, and stealing was the lifestyle of the youth. As a little boy, I always loved the Lord; growing up in a Christian home, going to church, and serving was a great delight for me. However, I was exposed at an early age to pornography and struggled with it for a long time without anyone knowing. I eventually saw that the freedom I was looking for was available in Christ and that I could live without this addiction that held me for so long. With the Word of God and by the help of the Holy Spirit, I was able to come out of that addiction. The days that followed were filled with joy, for I had found my first love. I got connected to Young Life through my area director and am now a leader in my community. I am committed to reaching the younger generation and see to it that they are raised to be future Christian leaders through contact work, prayer, leading small groups and reaching out to lost kids. Now a Developing Global Leader, I am currently studying electrical engineering at Federal University Otuoke. I am passionate about acquiring all the knowledge, skill and experience I can through education so I can utilize them for the greater good of society. While in the DGL program, my vision is to be a proactive and effective leader in Young life, my church, and in my community.
