My name is Agustina, and I live in Corrientes, Argentina, with my parents and my five siblings. When I was little, my grandfather took care of raising us, since my parents had to go to work every day. I remember crying when my mother went to work each day and I waited up every night for her to come back. Later, when my two younger brothers were born, I had to raise them when my parents went to work. I learned to do everything a mother does. Having this responsibility at such a young age, I felt like I was a teenage mother, and it was very frustrating for me.
I was instilled with Christian values from a young age because my parents were always involved in the church. But it wasn't until I became a teenager that I really understood what it was like to follow Jesus and develop a relationship with Him. Young Life played a key role in this. With the discipleship I received, I was able to process some of the struggles in my life and work on aspects of my personality that were difficult to overcome.
Now, a Developing Global Leader, I am studying languages, specializing in English and Italian. My dream is to work as a translator and serve others with my knowledge. As for my leadership with Young Life, I love what I do, and I want to continue to give my all in the different areas that they need.
