Tatiana Lissette

Tatiana lives in Limpio, a small town outside the capital city of her country, Paraguay. She grew up surrounded by her family, who instructed her in the way of God from an early age. Because of her faith, she suffered a lot of bullying at school. When she was twelve years old, she had the painful experience of living through the divorce of her parents, leaving her alone with her mother and siblings. Tatiana shares, “It was very hard for me to accept the separation of my parents; it was a painful process, but thank God, I overcame it.”

Although she had attended church since she was little, Tatiana tells that as a young teenager she had a personal and profound encounter with Jesus. She reflects that the determining factor for the change in her life was her mother’s influence and guidance towards the Christian life, for which she is very grateful. Her experience in Young Life began two and a half years ago, when a leader invited her to participate in a camp, and since then she has never stopped being a part of it. Tatiana reflects, “The day we started the ministry in my city was unforgettable because God showed me that there is much to do and that the work is not in vain.”

Now, through the Developing Global Leaders program, Tatiana is studying business administration at Centuria University. Her professional dream is to get her college degree and work at it with dignity. As a leader in Young Life, she desires “to help others become leaders, be an active part of the ministry's growth, and to help others become leaders.”
