Susan

My name is Susan, though I go by Suz, and I live in beautiful South Asia. I have seven siblings and we grew up in poverty. It was very difficult for my mom to raise us all up on her own after my father passed away when I was four years old. My mom really loves the Lord and He was always faithful to provide for us. Even though it wasn't easy growing up, we all as a family were able to grow closer to God. In my early teens, I attended a youth camp in my town and heard about Jesus from a pastor. I was touched and when the invitation was given to accept Christ, I responded and accepted Him in my life. The greatest challenge in my life was always growing up without my Father and once I invited Christ in my life, he took the place of my Father and has helped me overcome that loss. I got connected to Young Life though my friend and her mom who are both involved with Young Life and love this opportunity to serve as a leader and love teens in my community. Now a Developing Global Leader, my vision is to study well and become a teacher. In the future, I want to pursue theology and be better equipped to share the Word of God. Through teaching I want to impart good values and good knowledge to others. I love to make new friends and invite them to Young Life activities where we can connect through songs and dance and laughter and joy. I will be the first in my large family to graduate from university.
