Micah

My name is Micah and I was born in a small community in South Asia, but we moved around often because my father was a pastor. My childhood was filled with love, laughter and liveliness. We often had people in our home from different cultures, which enriched my childhood greatly. As a teen we moved again where I became more mischievous and notorious, I was a reckless kid and rebellious against my parents. I wanted everything according to my ways but as I grew up, I became mature, and God helped me realize my mistakes in life and I tried to be a better version of myself from then on. Although I was born into a Christian home and my father was a pastor of the church, I didn’t really know for myself what it meant to be a Christian. When I was about fifteen, I began to understand the Bible and God's grace and truth, and my heart grew softer. I got connected to Young Life through my sister who was also a volunteer leader, and I have been a part of Young Life family ever since. Now a Developing Global Leader, my vision is to learn more and more through academics, people and experiences to greater understand what I can do for the community and give a helping hand to those in need of help. I want to be available for people who are broken and help them find purpose in life. I am studying music at a local university and hope to share God's beauty while introducing others to Christ.
