Kayleh

Kaylah (changed for safety) is an intelligent, creative woman who lives in a small village. As the oldest of five children, of which the youngest is a special needs child, Kaylah is a natural leader and born to lead. She met Jesus at the age of eight through her Young Life leader parents and her church. Kaylah describes her greatest strength as “her faith and her family’s support.”

Kaylah is no stranger to Young Life as she grew up volunteering. Around the age of fifteen, Kaylah was helping with games and skits and preparing for Young Life clubs in her area. She recalls, “I remember one time I was determined to prepare the message for the kids at the club and it was so good that all of the kids were listening to me until the last word of the message.” For Kaylah, high school was a tricky, challenging time where she had to rely on her faith and family to overcome her insecurities. She explains that she continues to improve and rely on her faith in times when she is “nervous, stubborn, and sometimes anxious.”

As a Developing Global Leader, Kaylah is studying design at a local college. Her artistic abilities and creative spirit fuel her passion to become a decor designer. Her dream is to be the first in her family to graduate from university while continuing to reach kids as a leader in Young Life.
