I am from a Christian background. I grew up going to Church with my family in Tayport, Scotland up until my first year in high school. Throughout my time in high school, I was a Young Life kid going Club, Campaigners, and Camp.

I grew up going to church Sunday school, so I knew of Jesus, but I didn’t think too seriously about it. I thought it was something for older people as most of my church congregation was composed of the elderly. Then at the end of my first year of high school, I went to a Young Life event called ‘Summer Slam’ and then went onto to Young Life camp at Cairn Brae. This is where I decided to follow Jesus; however, I struggled to show it at school. It wasn’t until my third year, that I decided to fully commit myself to Jesus and let Him begin to change me for the better.

I hope to continue to work closely with Young Life’s ministry throughout my university career at St. Andrews University, and then go on to work in the field of Marine Biology with my degree, perhaps still working with Young Life in a different way.
