Justice

My name is Justice and I grew up with my parents and six siblings in a small community in Ghana called Shia. However, I now live in Dzadzepe with my wife and child. My greatest challenge was losing my father at age twelve. Following such a loss, our family faced extreme financial hardship. There seemed at times to be no hope of continuing my education; I couldn't afford my school uniform and supplies, and I was relentlessly mocked by my friends for my desperate situation.

I met Jesus in a dream; He came as a light, and I could not stand in it. He asked me to do his assignment which was to serve and preach His word and to impart knowledge to the youth, empowering them to be good citizens to their family and community. I later met the Young Life staff in my community and joined in with a shared love for kids and Christ. I began to do morning devotions with people from nearby areas, where we come together to pray daily before school and work. It was through devotions with my family every morning and evening that I now have the faith and courage to minister in public without fear.

Now a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying business management at the University of Cape Coast. I hope that a university degree will help me acquire a better paying job to help my family and also equip me to more confidently lead my ministry. I am passionate about developing good interpersonal relationships and trust God to open doors for sharing the Gospel with my life.
