Nokuthula

Nokuthula (Noe) is a humble and hard-working young woman from Bulawayo, Zimbabwe. She is the third of seven kids in a large family; her father struggled to provide for their basic needs and school fees. Noe cultivated a resilient spirit in spite of the adversity, always striving to elevate her situation by determination and perseverance.

In high school, Noe met her Young Life leader seemingly by chance, who she poured into her by answering all her questions about Jesus. Noe had to know more and at camp, she fully surrendered her life to Christ. Noe says, “After hearing about Jesus I decided to follow Jesus Christ as my personal savior. Ever since I have not regretted my decision.”

Now a Developing Global Leader, Noe is studying social science at the Women’s University in Africa and feels extremely grateful to be the first in her family to attend college. In addition to being an impactful Young Life leader, Noe dreams of becoming a social worker in her community upon graduation, helping the disadvantaged and struggling overcome and be inspired to rise out of adversity. When asked about her goals as a DGL, Noe shares, “I am looking forward to serving leaders and kids in and out of Young Life with the skills and new resources I acquire. I want people to see that with God there is nothing to fear, and anything is possible with God.”
