Kirill

My name is Kirill. I live in the capital city of a Russian province, in a small house with my dad, mom, brother and two sisters. My parents invested their entire lives in me and my siblings. During my childhood, my mom believed in God and went to church and my dad was not a believer. This caused fights between them. During my teenage years, I found myself pulled into the world and making destructive choices. God used Young Life to bring me back to Him and save me. To live with Christ is freedom.

My friend inviting me to Young Life club and camp catalyzed my personal relationship with Jesus. At camp, the leaders shared stories from the Bible, talked about how God had changed their lives and gave questions for reflection. It was then that I accepted Jesus Christ into my heart. I am now a Young Life leader and part of the youth worship and media team at my church.

As a recipient of the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying customs affairs at the university in the city where I live. With my degree, I would like to open my own business and help provide for my family financially. My other goals are to grow in my ministry to non-believing youth and create new projects and Christian conferences for them, while mentoring new leaders. I would also like to study at a theological university to learn more about God and grow in my own spiritual life.
