Sara Victoria

Sara is a brave and persevering young woman, born and raised in Venezuela, but now living in northeast Argentina. Her childhood was filled with love from her family and her many friends. For her and her family, moving to a country with a totally different culture than the one she knew was a big change, but her trust in God brought her peace and helped them to overcome those challenges. Her biggest challenge in life was becoming a mother at the age of 16, which affected her spiritually and personally. She felt that she was not prepared for this new stage of her life and was ashamed, she felt she had failed God and her family.

Sara grew up in a Christian family, so she always heard about Jesus. But she began to have a close relationship with Jesus at age thirteen, and she expresses it this way, "living in such a complicated stage of life with so many controversies in society, it generated insecurity in me. God gave me the wisdom to overcome my adolescence. I wanted to know Him more, I found peace in Him." Sara also expresses how going to a Young Life camp was a great help in the process, "all the experiences I had in Young Life made me feel great and closer to Jesus. I came to understand that even though I was grieved by my sin, God forgave me".

Today, a Developing Global Leader, Sara dreams of becoming a great doctor. She is attending UNNE Higher Level Institute and pursuing her degree in science and medicine. Sara continues to serve teen moms in Young Life, helping them grow in their faith and bringing them the hope she experienced as a teen mom.
