Grace

My name is Grace and I live in Grand Bassam, Cote d’Ivoire, located on the coast of West Africa. I am the oldest of four children and come from a loving and humble family. I encountered discouragement and adversity in completing my schooling, and though I was passionate, gifted, and studied diligently, I often had to step away from classes due to the inability to pay my fees. My involvement with Young Life helped me to grow in my faith and also provided support and encouragement that carried me through those difficult days. I am dedicated to ministry in my community and always strive to invest in the growth of leaders and teens. As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying engineering at Université Nord Sud-Institut Famah. I hope to work on cars and other machine building enterprises. I chose this degree because I am passionate about design and mechanics and I will be one of the few women in this field in my country. I will be the first in my family to graduate from university.
