Anna

My name is Anna and I live in Yerevan, the capital city of Armenia with my grandparents, mother and brother. My father passed away when I was a child. When I reflect on the loss of my father at such a young age, I see that it left me reeling and disoriented.

In high school, my friends invited me to the Young Life camp here in Armenia. Upon hearing about the love of my heavenly Father, I knew that I didn’t want to live another day separated from Him. I left behind so many of the principles and tactics I had formerly relied on and was changed from the inside out. I was so selfish and now God has taught me to love people unconditionally. I am grateful to live this out with girls in my Young Life ministry as a small group leader and volleyball team leader.

As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying economics at Armenian State University of Economics. I have chosen this field of study because it is modern, opens doors to a wide array of business opportunities, and is well paid in my country. After graduation I hope to not only help the financial situation of my family but contribute to my community in how I manage finances, time and people with integrity and gentleness. I am so proud to become the first in my family to graduate from university.
