Julia

Hello, I´m Julia! I was born near Frankfurt, Germany, but we moved several times before finally settling in Reutlingen, located in southwest Germany. Growing up, I lived with my parents and younger brother and loved being a part of our school choir and the theatre group. In my free time, I love to dance and spend time with my friends. I grew up in a church-going home and made a personal decision to follow Jesus during my year of confirmation within the church. Following high school, I entered into a gap year before university and volunteered with the Protestant Youth Office in Stuttgart. This opportunity taught me about serving others and connected me with Young Life. It was during this time that my faith began to inform everything else in my life and I encountered intimacy with God like never before. As a Young Life leader, I feel called to show and tell teens in my community that they are worthy and loved by God.

I’ve always wanted to work closely with people and be an encouragement to their growth, both personally and professionally. I hope that I can be involved in strengthening work culture and environments within large organizations. As a Developing Global Leader scholarship recipient, I am pursuing a degree in business psychology at Stuttgart Technology University of Applied Sciences. Through the DGL program, I will not only graduate from university, but also grow in ministry and leadership skills that will guide me as I strive to love those around me and point them to Jesus.
