Weronika

My name is Weronika and I live in Poznań, Poland. I am the second born and share the same birthday as my beloved older sister, Zuza. My family was always very close. I have many positive feelings when I think about my childhood and being surrounded by my three siblings and loving parents. I admire their faith, kindness, and commitment to one another. When I was young, around 6 years old, we had a task at school to draw a picture about our future. I drew a nun. I quickly changed my mind after realizing that nuns don’t have children of their own, but I still wanted desperately to be close with God. I spent a great amount of my time creating prayer books and paintings of Mary and Jesus. I am grateful for the incredible relationship with Him as a child. Later, upon first hearing about Young Life, I knew it was the right place for me. Being a leader has provided opportunities for growth in my faith and leadership, and has been a life-changing experience of pouring out the love of Jesus to others.

As a Developing Global Leader, I have chosen to get my degree in education at Adam Mickiewicz University. I want to work with children and teens and be a catalyst for changing the path of countless teens in my community.
