Daniel

Daniel is a faithful and teachable man from Accra, the capital city of Ghana. Living with a friend in a small apartment, he is diligent in pursuing his educational dreams. With three brothers and three sisters who have all dropped out of high school, his siblings and mom are proud of Daniel and his aspirations to pursue further education, and are hopeful that he is breaking the cycle of poverty. After losing his twin brother when he was young, and his father years later, Daniel has faced struggle in a way few of us know. However, he is confident that, though the struggle has been immense, so too is the strength God has given him to persevere and grow in spite of the pain. Through Daniel’s experience of poverty, he sees how God has provided for him and kept him on a path of seeking him rather than the path of selfishness and evil. As a Young Life leader, Daniel is attempting to share this hope – a hope of full life beyond present circumstances – with every teenager he encounters.

Daniel, as a Developing Global Leader, is attending Jayee University and pursuing a degree in communication sciences. Daniel has experienced great struggle both personally and corporately in his community and country, often feeling misinformed by the media. He wants to create change as a journalist by distributing news and information with integrity and with the intention of serving his community. Daniel will be the first person in his family to graduate from college.
