Trust

Trust is a teachable and persevering young man from a rural village outside of Nkulumane, Zimbabwe. The eldest child of seven, Trust and his siblings were left to be raised by their grandparents after their parents left to find employment. Trust endured another loss at the passing of his mother when he was in high school. In spite of these challenges, Trust remained diligent in his studies, persevering and dreaming of the opportunity to go to college. Trust was invited to Young Life camp by a friend during high school where he heard the message of the Gospel. Convicted over sin and amazed by God’s grace, Trust placed his faith in Jesus. Continuing to grow in the love of God, he “pins his hope on God alone,” living as an example to teenagers in his community as a Young Life leader.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Trust is pursuing a degree in electrical engineering at Bulawayo Polytechnic College. He hopes to inspire other young people to pursue technical work with a vision to impact their community and country. “I want to work hard and help my country through establishing effective operation systems of electricity. Also, by urging my community members to do the same, I hope to be a part of developing our country to be great once again.” Trust will be the first person in his family to graduate from college.
