Jean Pierre

Joseph, whose name has been changed for safety, is a personable man from a small village in southern Mali. He lives with his mother, brothers, and sisters. The death of his father during his adolescent years left him feeling angry and abandoned. His family began attending an evangelical church where he heard the Gospel and committed his life to Jesus. Encountering the unconditional love of God created great change in Joseph. Over time, he laid down his anger and grief over the loss of his father and began to trust in an ever-present God who would never leave him. He is passionate about people and as a Young Life leader is fervent in his pursuit of teenagers.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Joseph is being mentored, trained, and equipped to invest in leaders and grow the Young Life ministry in his community. He is attending a local university where he is studying logistics, marketing and communications. He hopes to continue to serve in ministry and to seek out a career in manufacturing or banking. Joseph will be the first person in his family to graduate from college.
