Ronald

My name is Ronald De Jesus. I live in Palmarito, a neighborhood in the city of La Vega, in the house where our Club is held with my area director, Jefferson.

My life has always been a little complicated because my mother was always moving and we never had our own house. When my mother left to live with her boyfriend, my brother went to another house to live with his father and my sister and I had to go to my grandmother's house. My sister got married and I stayed living with my grandparents.

When I entered the ministry of Young Life my leader helped me a lot. I was a person who had a lot of insecurities, I didn't believe in myself much, I thought that everyone in the world was better than me. What made me decide to follow Jesus was the love of Jesus that I saw through leaders. They invested in me and pursued me. At Young Life camp in the summer there were nightly talks. The last talk impacted me because it made me understand how sinful I was and but that there was a solution so that all that sin could be forgiven. That's when I realized I had a chance to live.

Now as Developing Global Leaders I'm pursuing a degree in Agronomy. I hope it will be of great help for my career, because I want to continue giving my best and I hope to finish well and continue focusing on the ministry. Every day I want to get closer to God and be able to talk about Jesus to those who will be the next leaders.
