Arpa

Arpa is a creative and enthusiastic young woman from a small village in central Bangladesh. She grew up in a happy family consisting of her parents, a younger brother and her beloved grandmother who is the prayer pillar of her family. Arpa shares, “From a young age, I watched how my parents treated people and wanted to know how to best behave with others. Their example shaped me into the person that I'm today.”

Raised in a Christian family, Arpa spent her childhood going to church. However, over time her heart wanted to know Jesus in a different way. She met a Young Life leader who invited her to club and where she began a journey of truly knowing God and has the opportunity to walk with other young girls in their own journey of faith as a Young Life leader in her community.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Arpa is attending a local university and studying accounting. She is eager to earn the highest degree of education and go into the field of banking, using her gifts and having the opportunity to help provide financial stability for her family. Besides these career goals, Arpa expresses, “I want to spread the gospel of Christ all over the world. I hope to step into new leadership opportunities by leading a bible study group, mentoring new team members, and leading my club's worship team.” Arpa will be the first in her family to graduate from university.
