Aristotle

My name is Aristotle and I live with my large extended family in Bangladesh. Growing up my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, children, and their families all lived together in my grandfather’s house. It was a challenging time and my father struggled to find enough work to provide for us. In spite of his best efforts, I didn’t get proper care or a proper education. The surrounding environment was not good at times, there were quarrels, bad behavior, and abuse all around.

I grew up with a Catholic background, but I did not understand that Jesus could be known personally. I struggled to find spiritual peace. One day my cousin told me about the ministry called Young Life and encouraged me to go. I went there and then slowly started to know about Jesus. I went to different churches to find peace of mind and through the Young Life ministry, I attended many camps and received many trainings. I accepted the Lord Jesus into my heart and after accepting Him, I felt peace of mind and grew in discernment and started making better decisions with my life. I am a team leader and particularly love leading worship.

As a Developing Global Leader, I am studying marketing at a local university so that in the future I can work in a business organization as well as work for God's kingdom. Through leadership opportunities with DGL, I hope to learn more about my gifts and grow in confidence as I trust God’s plan for my life. I will be the first in my family to graduate from university.
