Likhon

Likhon, an influential and natural leader in his community, grew up in a city in southwestern Bangladesh. He was born into a Christian home, but his father later returned to his Hindu background, hopeful that his family would join him. However, Likhon and his siblings remained with their mother and chose to follow Christ. Likhon shares, “I chose to follow Christ, knowing He is my ultimate Provider and Savior.” Financial problems were a daily matter in his family, but he learned to work hard and found a part-time job to help carry the burden even from a young age.

Building on his foundation of faith, Likhon attended Young Life camp in high school after being invited by a leader he knew from church. According to Likhon, “God used that time at camp to tell me that I am His beloved child and God truly became my father.” Likhon is a passionate Young Life leader who strives to know the unreached kids in his community. He wants to tell them the value of their life and share the gospel in a loving way.

Now a Developing Global Leader, Likhon is pursuing a business degree and studying management at a local university. He shares, “I have seen great indiscipline in the financial and business sector of my country. My wish is to reduce the indiscipline and imbalances in my community and make a difference in the business world. Likhon will be the first in his family to graduate from university.
