Bat-Erdene

Bat-Erdene, or Baki, as his friends call him, is an encouraging and uplifting young man from Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. Baki persevered through great loss as a child, first in the death of his father followed by being raised by his grandmother due to his mother’s battle with alcohol. He shares, “When my dad passed away and I had to grow up without a dad, I so needed the love of a father. After I believed in Christ, God poured into my heart His unchanging love.”

Baki met Jesus at Young Life camp in high school. “At camp, my thoughts about God changed. Ever since, God has changed a lot of things in my life. I try to love others with God’s love and am learning so much about leading a team and how to pour my life into ministry.” Now a Developing Global Leader, Baki is studying social work at Ider University and hopes to go on full-time Young Life staff after graduating from university.
