Stephen

Stephen is a friendly and intelligent young man from Bangladesh. He grew up in an area where everyone is of a different religion. Other than his family, Stephan recalls that throughout his childhood, there was no one else for him to talk to about God. Despite wanting to know God, he felt lonely for like-minded friends and battled depression throughout high school.

Stephen’s first experience with Young Life was through his older brother who is a leader in another community. After years of hearing about how fun Young Life is, the chance to attend camp was the first time he got to truly experience it! When asked about his first experience, Stephen shared, “from my first camp, I fell in love with Young Life. Now we have started a Young Life ministry in our area where I am blessed to be a leader.”

Now a Developing Global Leader, Stephen is studying management in the business department of a local university. He wants to become more proficient in accounting and management and eventually open his own business. He is committed to growing his Young Life ministry and feels called to give back to the youth in his father’s church.
