Tony

I’m Tony and I grew up in a small village in the southwestern region of Bangladesh with my parents and younger brother. My childhood life was very worldly because I did not know Jesus. Because of the poor financial situation of my family, I didn't receive basic necessities. These things made me feel disadvantaged and destitute, however the biggest challenges of my life were navigating destructive friendships and staying committed to progressing in my studies.

However, I was able to overcomes these challenges when I was introduced to Jesus by my Young Life leader. Through reading Scripture, Jesus has helped and guided me in the harsh realities of my life. I became involved with Young Life through Discovery Bible Study (DBS). Now my life is blessed while serving different types of kids, and involving them in our Discipleship Focus group.

With the Developing Global Leaders’ scholarship, I will be studying accounting. My vision is to work for the Kingdom of God, and to enlighten those who do not yet know the Lord. I am hopeful for the impact I can make through business and the lives I intersect with as an accountant. I will be the first in my family to graduate from college.
