My name has been changed and my country is undisclosed for my safety. I live in a large city in central Asia with my mother, father, and younger sister. I grew up surrounded by love, even though my parents had issues in their own relationship. In general, I grew up as a happy child and always had a lot of friends. My younger sister has special needs. It is very difficult and painful for us to experience her health problems, but God shows each of us His love every day.

I met God through the Young Life Capernaum ministry my sister attended. Because my believing grandmother talked about hell and sin, I had always feared God and did not want to even think about Him. However, at Young Life club, I learned that Jesus died for my sins, and I had nothing to fear. I came to know about God's majestic love and mercy. The most valuable part of it all - I now have a relationship with Jesus! Currently, I serve with Young Life on several ministry teams.

Through the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am pursuing a finance and accounting degree at a local university. In my family, I will be the first person to graduate from college. Hopefully I will gain the necessary skills and knowledge to become a qualified specialist in my field. My dreams and plans for the Young Life ministry are big, I would like to see it expand its reach in my country and impact more and more young people.
