Ariunaa

Hi, I’m Ariunaa and I live in my uncle’s home along with his wife, two kids, and his mother-in-law in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. I grew up without knowing my father’s name. I love my mom, and I have sister, however I don’t connect with them. I work in my uncle’s house and also look after my sister’s child. My childhood has been very difficult.

I was invited to Young Life’s summer camp and was influenced during cabin time and through the speaker’s message. Before I went to camp, I attended church, but after camp I never wanted to leave my church. In October 2021, I lost my mother. My friends surrounded me with the love of Christian people, and for the first time in my life, I felt love from a family of faith. I knew then that I could overcome the death of my mother because I had people who prayed with me. Faith has shown me the right way to live; I have many choices, but I want to follow God’s way and be an example of this with others.

Young Life’s Developing Global Leaders scholarship will empower me to be the first in my family to attend college. I now have the opportunity to attend Etugen University and study dentistry. I am compelled to change my future in order to live a life that is different from my parents. I have been dreaming since I was a little girl to be able to help heal sick people. I have been changed by God and want to live my life sharing it with others.
