Alabatou

My name is Alabatou. I live in Ziguinchor, Senegal with my husband. I was born into a Muslim family and educated by Islamic values, but through patience, perseverance, and the grace of God, I now know Jesus as my Savior. I first learned about Jesus through a friend who would not stop talking about Young Life. I accepted the invitation to go to camp and everything in my life changed. Now I am a leader with Young Lives and center my ministry on young moms and their babies. I am passionate about addressing the vast medical needs of my community and with the Developing Global Leaders scholarship, I am studying medicine at the Higher Institute for Health Promotion in Ziguinchor.
