Ben

My name is Ben and I am from a small city in Central Asia. I grew up quickly due to the divorce of my parents, causing me to work from a young age in order to take on the financial responsibilities of helping my mother and sister. I see now how this adversity developed in me a strong work ethic and a teachable nature. Throughout my childhood, I was quiet and closed, and I found it difficult to speak or share in front others. Everything changed when I was invited to Young Life; I immediately felt at home within this large, loving group of people. I felt the touch of God and a clear calling to not only walk with God myself, but to become a Young Life leader and invite teens into the journey of a lifetime with their Savior. Now a Developing Global Leader, I am studying law and diplomacy at the university. I want to be a good lawyer and help my city, as well as teach young people to defend their rights and interests.
