Moldova

A former part of the USSR, Moldova gained independence in 1991. It is one of the poorest countries in Eastern Europe and the majority of people are involved in agriculture. Moldova has beautiful rolling plains, with rich soil to grow all different fruits, vegetables, grains, etc. The people of Moldova are hard-working and strong-willed. The influence of communist leadership has greatly affected the church. This generation is the first to be raised in an upcoming capitalist society.

Since 2000, Young Life has been reaching kids in Moldova. There are eight ministries and more than 250 kids at club each week.
