Colombia

In the 1990s, Colombia frequented newspaper headlines with stories of drug wars and violence. The country has struggled with government control, violence and is still recovering today. Colombia is a relatively large country, about the size of Texas and California combined. The majority of Colombians live in western Colombia, because a significant part of the east is jungle. Like many Latin American countries, music and dance are central to Colombian culture. Spending time with family and friends is extremely important.
